Imagining America: Artists and Scholars in Public Life is a consortium of colleges and universities that supports public scholarship and practice. Imagining America’s mission is to strengthen the public role and democratic purposes of the humanities, arts, and design.

Imagining America (IA) recognizes the reciprocal benefits of community-based scholarship and practice. Communities benefit from the engagement of faculty and students whose research and participation support their efforts.
