Featured Programs
Vicki Cassman and undergraduates have designed and built a collections management database for the Newark Historical Society in Delaware, which allows the Society to manage its collections more professionally and use them more effectively in public outreach.
Shuaib Meacham explores the educational possibilities of hip-hop music, challenging junior high and high school students to relate to traditional forms of composition through their music.
Deb Alvarez’s research interest in literacy and trauma have taken her to New Orleans, where she works with high school teachers and students from the New Orleans public schools, and faculty from the University of New Orleans, to train teachers as second-responders to disaster.
Students in Janet Hethorn’s Product Development and Management Studio designed sample garments for a young community member, helping to realize the vision of BARA-GOS, a new company producing urban streetwear with a message.
