In February 2008, Campus Compact (CC) became a collaborator on IA’s Tenure Team Initiative on Public Scholarship (TTI). IMAGINING AMERICA and CAMPUS COMPACT committed to open and ongoing collaboration and coordination regarding plans for the development and promotion of the Tenure Team Initiative events and materials. We’re delighted to join with the robust CC membership in the implementation of TTI which is so crucial for all of us in higher education engaged in public scholarship and practice.

Campus Compact is a national coalition of more than 1,100 college and university presidents—representing some 6 million students—who are committed to fulfilling the civic purposes of higher education. 

As the only national higher education association dedicated solely to campus-based civic engagement, Campus Compact promotes public and community service that develops students’ citizenship skills, helps campuses forge effective community partnerships, and provides resources and training for faculty seeking to integrate civic and community-based learning into the curriculum.
