We are now soliciting requests from member institutions to host Imagining America Regional Meetings.

These day-long meetings are intended to stimulate dialogue and action regarding our major IA projects -- the Tenure Team Initiative on Public Scholarship (TTI), Assessing the Practices of Public Scholarship (APPS), and Publicly Active Graduate Education (with relevance to early career scholars as well).

Hosts may choose to focus the entire day on one of these initiatives or take up another model, such as a regional conference on some aspect of public scholarship or practice in the cultural disciplines.  Organizing sustainable regional collaboration is another aspect of these gatherings.
We encourage the full participation of graduate students in these meetings, while offering them an additional opportunity to talk together, perhaps over lunch.  We also recommend community partner inclusion if relevant to the particular agenda.

To indicate your interest in hosting a Regional Meeting or to ask for more information, please contact Jan Cohen-Cruz (jcohencr@syr.edu or 315-443-8788) or Kevin Bott (kbott@syr.edu or 315-4438535).
