Rosalie Mendoza

Communications and Events Intern

Rosie is the current Communications and Events Student Intern for Imagining America. She is a junior at the University of California, Davis studying English and American Studies. Her academic interests range from studying works by contemporary BIPOC authors to researching ongoing social movements. With these interests in mind, she plans to graduate from UC Davis and continue to graduate school, where she will study the literature and art of marginalized communities in the United States. In her roles as the founder of Davis Women’s Baseball and a member of a local band, Rosie has acquired skills like planning and running events, managing large groups, and engaging in community outreach. Some of Rosie’s outside interests include songwriting, crocheting, and dyeing her hair different colors. She is originally from Whittier, California and has a tabby cat named Gary.
