Angela Rose David (she/hers) is passionate about becoming a primary care physician and mentor, serving the rural and urban under-served communities that raised her. Despite her struggles as a low-income minority student, she carried the stories of those she met as a medical scribe, CDC intern, and clinical research assistant.
Through Samahang Pilipino, Angela Rose met many with similar experiences. As a PAA Board member, she aims to support and empower them, using their narratives as sources of inspiration and action. Through community engagement and advocacy, she hopes to address stigma against disadvantaged backgrounds and highlight the Pilipino minority experience to tackle socioeconomic limitations and discrimination in education and healthcare.
Reflecting on her journey, Angela Rose sees endless possibilities in her service as a PAGE co-director. She hopes to continue learning about the challenges her community faces, the histories of colonization and racism, and the importance of cultural preservation. She aims to grow personally and professionally to become the mentor she needed growing up.
