Inspired and organized by IA Student Intern Rosalie Mendoza, IA Primary Day brought together students, scholars, parents, kids, teachers, and others in a playful, elementary school setting to emphasize the importance of collective creativity and imaginative play across generations. The goal behind this IA happening was to create a space where anyone of any age would feel included.
Attendees participated in three creative ‘crafting and conversation’ stations to make friendship bracelets, zines, and a 3D sculpture, while sharing stories about camaraderie, collective and personal safety, and dreams and visions for the future.
