Paul Schadewald is the Senior Program Director for Community-Based Learning and Scholarship at Macalester College. He is based in the Civic Engagement Center, the Institute for Global Citizenship at Macalester College. He supports curricular civic engagement, community-based research, and public scholarship projects and facilitates faculty development programs on civic and urban engagement. He received his B.A from St. Olaf College and his Ph.D. in history from Indiana University, Bloomington. He has contributed articles on faculty development in Community-Based Research: Teaching for Community Impact and Deepening Community Engagement in Higher Education. He is co-editor of Digital Community Engagement, which highlights case studies of higher education-community collaborations in digital public history and archiving projects.
