Shromona Mandal is a PhD candidate in Emory’s Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Their research lies within South Asian American Studies, Transnational Feminisms, and Feminist and Queer Ethnography. They have a B.A. in Sociology and Social & Cultural Analysis and an A.M. in American Studies from Brown University. They are also on the Board of Sinister Wisdom Journal and organize with Buford Highway educators in Georgia for grassroots critical Ethnic Studies.
