Ural Grant

Board Member & PAGE Co-Director

Ural Grant is an award-winning theater artist and educator. He recently completed an MFA program in Theater at Michigan State University and is currently a faculty member at Kennesaw State University. Ural is particularly passionate about working with young people, community engagement, and arts education. He has led workshops on nonviolence, peer pressure, and communication through Tennessee Shakespeare Company’s Romeo and Juliet Project. He has also developed arts education programming that uses devised theater as a tool to help empower and free young African American males to tell their stories and construct their identities.  Ural strives to bring joy and ignite positive, impactful experiences for young people in his community.

Inspired by IA action research findings, the Public Scholar Conversation Cards and Organizing Culture Change Imagination Guide are pedagogic tools to inspire reflection and action.
