Maricela Lopez (she/her) is the Gathering Programming and Logistics Intern for Imagining America (IA). She is a third year American Studies major and Chicana/o Studies minor at UC Davis and will be graduating Spring 2023.

Maricela’s research includes exploration of topics such as American intervention, American ideology, and Latinx diaspora. Maricela is also a representative and member of the Solar Community Housing Association (SCHA), an organization which promotes fair housing for diverse communities. Maricela is a first-generation Latinx student who enjoys baking and going to the Davis Farmers Market.
