Isabelle Woodruff-Madeira

IA Intern

Isabelle Woodruff-Madeira, originally from the Bay Area, graduated from UC Davis in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies, and a minor in Computer Science. She began her studies as a Computer Science major but discovered a deep interest in the political engagement, critical examination of American society, and interdisciplinary nature of the field of American Studies. Isabelle is passionate about music and has played guitar and drumset for several years. At UC Davis, she was a member of Bakuhatsu Taiko Dan for four years, and served in leadership positions for two. Her experience in taiko has deepened her appreciation for the intersection of cultural arts, community-building, and political engagement.
