Digital Divestment Roundtable: Practical Tips for Harm Reduction

JULY 30, 10AM PST, ON ZOOM. In session 3, we will shift from planning work to practical tips! We will work on specific tasks related to data security, surveillance, AI features, and platform migration (for data storage, calendars, emails, etc). As always, there will be time for community sharing. Please bring your devices so we can make this a hands-on workshop, and bring your own tips and best practices for safety/sovereignty when navigating digital spaces and platforms.

Tribuno del Pueblo: The People’s Paper

Ada Marys Lorenzana. Understanding the need for more Spanish publications, the Tribuno del Pueblo began publishing local stories from farmworkers, laborers, and immigrants in 1973. Voices that were regularly ignored in mainstream media were amplified in the Tribuno.

Meng-Hsuan Ho. Fangirl devotion. Transpacific flights. Working mothers. These might seem like separate stories. But they all involve collective emotions—feelings that are shared but often unspoken, waiting for someone to name them and bring people together around them.
