IA fosters vibrant networks of graduate and undergraduate students from our member institutions. We aim for these networks to be a collaborative, sustainable, and action-oriented conduit for changing academic cultures and practices and strengthening civic life.

In recent years, an increasing number of students have attended IA’s annual conference. Their dynamic participation and critical feedback has increased the role of students in IA’s leadership structure, including the national advisory board.

Inspired by IA action research findings, the Public Scholar Conversation Cards and Organizing Culture Change Imagination Guide are pedagogic tools to inspire reflection and action.
